Happy Monday! {festival recap}

Good morning lovelies! Monday is here once again. Did ya'll have a fabulous weekend? We had a busy one round this parts with company (!) and the Emerald Isle St. Patrick's Festival. I truly had no idea what to expect since this was my first festival. I learned that this is more of the drinking and dancing type festival than the buying type. However, there were tons of people there and I got lots of great feedback on all of my stuff. The cards were a big hit, as were the name signs and the Annabelle bag.

Here's some pictures of my booth.

And even better news, Kim from the local coffee shop offered to let me put my stuff in her shop to sell! She already has an empty rack that I can use for my cards. I will be doing that this week!

Introducing............

.....the Annabelle bag!

There were lots of good suggestions for names for this bag including Delilah, Scarlet, Frances, Mary, Sassy, and Bilbo (baggins). Two people suggested either Belle or Annabelle, so that is the winner! I think it is very fitting, thanks lovelies!

p.s. I will probably be a little m.i.a. on the blog this week. My first festival is Saturday and I am busy busy getting everything together and making some last minutes pieces. I am anxious to see how everything goes on Saturday!

What do ya'll think? I'm thinking it is rather cute & a little beachy, especially in the kelly green color. I hope folks at the St. Patty's Festival in EI like them!

New news.....

I have some news.....I am doing my first Festival this year!  March 13th is the Emerald Isle St. Patrick's Day Festival and I will be an Arts Vendor!  This is very exciting, but I have a lot of work to do over the next month.  I have already ordered a banner for my tent and some calling cards.  I have to round up a tent, tables, linens, and product stands.  If you have any ideas, please post below!

I plan to have a selection of greeting cards, holiday cards, bags, clutches, zipper pouches, name signs, and possibly bibs and baby blankets.  And of course order forms for my personalized things.

Ya'll should come spend the weekend at the beach and attend the festival! There is drinking, music, shopping, kiddie carnival, and a little leprechaun contest.  Let's all hope for sunshine:)

NC Wine Festival

This past Saturday was the NC Wine Festival in Clemmons. Chance planned to do the 3 Mountain Madness up Pilot Mountain, so of course that gave me a great excuse to go the Wine Festival. It was so much fun! 37 wineries, all different wines, and plenty of Scuppernong & Muscadine - my favorite! Here's a list of my favorites:

  1. McRitchie Winery - the Hard Cider is truly awesome. James like the Ring of Fire Red, I believe. It was very tasty:)
  2. Thistle Meadow - Bonny Black & Sweet Holler White. They also have a sweet Orange wine, but I can't find the exact name on their website. Check it out if you go to their winery - it was unusual & delicious!
  3. Duplin - Sunset Red. I have always been a big Duplin fan, so I tried something I had never had. It was a good choice!
  4. Chateau Laurinda - This is the only stop where we actually purchased a bottle. Or, two actually:) Roman Delight (a semi-sweet green apple) to go & Jessie & I split a bottle of Sangria over Chicken Salad in the shade. The Perfect compliment to a perfect day!
And some pictures from the festival:

That is about how much of a taste you get of each wine -

Absolutely worth the $20 ticket - check it out next year!
